Cybersecurity Quarterly Webinar IIPGH and its supporting organization(s), by this quarterly program, seek to contribute to and drive a Safer Digital Ghana, enhancing development and capacity-building of its members and the public, and networking among ICT stakeholders in Ghana. Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM) National Cybersecurity Awareness Month is a collaborative effort between government and industry to ensure every Ghanaian has the resources they need to stay safe and secure online, to create awareness and educate citizens on the importance of good cyber hygiene, while increasing the resilience of the nation against cyber threats. It is an annual event spearheaded by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) of the Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation (MoCD). The Institute as major stakeholder in ICT capacity building and public awareness, observes this annual event and has been involved in many collaborative cybersecurity awareness programs towards a Safer Digital Ghana. Each one of us needs to do our part to make sure that our online lives are kept safe and secure. That is what Cybersecurity Awareness Month – observed in October – mean to IIPGH. Objective The main objective of this Cybersecurity awareness program, an ongoing process, is to educate and train the public, organizations and employees, users, and digital consumers, about the threats that lurk in cyberspace, to improve their understanding, how to prevent such threats and what they must do in the event of a security incident and develop a good cyber-hygiene. Before anything else, one needs to understand their digital footprints and cyber exposure.
