The Digital Learning Initiative Coding Club, launched by IIPGH and Swisscontact at Gbegbeyise Basic School, aims to equip students with coding skills while empowering teachers. The pilot included engaging sessions, a competition, and successful training for educators. The program’s expansion to more schools in 2025 will enhance digital literacy across Ghana.

Breaking Barriers: Coding, Leadership, and Inclusion for All – The Coding Caravan 2024 in Osudoku District

The Coding Caravan 2024 in Osudoku District embraced the theme “Breaking Barriers: Coding, Leadership, and Inclusion for All”. The event aimed to spark a passion for ICT among 200 students and 29 teachers by introducing them to the fundamentals of coding and hands-on technology projects. Interactive sessions were designed to be educational and engaging, ensuring a memorable experience for everyone involved. The impact of the Coding Caravan 2024 was evident in the enthusiasm and active participation of students. Students expressed excitement about the interactive lessons and the new skills they acquired. Teachers appreciated the interactivity and the opportunity to enhance their ICT knowledge.
